Ghaziabad: A court in here on Thursday rejected the bail plea of dentist Rajesh Talwar, arrested for allegedly murdering his teenaged daughter Aarushi and the family`s domestic help in Noida. He was sent him to jail till July 2.
District and Sessions judge Mahendra Kumar Jain rejected Talwar`s application after hearing the arguments of counsel for the dentist and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Opposing the bail application, CBI counsel A K Saini, argued that there was reasonable ground to believe that Talwar was involved in the crime. He maintained it was a blind case of murder.
The Noida police arrested Talwar on May 23 for the twin murders. The CBI took over the case on June 1 but has yet to zero in on the motive for the crime in spite of interrogating a number of people and also arresting the dentist`s compounder Krishna.
